Narika
Narika is a nonprofit organization for and of women who trace their
origins to the South Asian countries of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh,
Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan. We provide support, information, help,
advocacy and referrals to women and children in abusive situations.
Narika's model incorporates all the positive aspects of familial relationships
among women in South Asia. Our volunteer staff of South Asian women
understand the cultural and communal affinities of our callers. We
do not give professional advice but off a sisterly ear, providing
the support and information women need to make their own decisions.
